Beautiful Spring...memories of Gran

When I was a little girl, my Gran would take my sister and I to a street in Vancouver that was lined with Cherry Blossom trees. We would play in the fallen petals like it was snow. Throwing them up in the air, and giggling with delight. My Gran would give us grocery bags to fill with petals, so we could take them home with us. Being able to bag up these petals to take home was such fun for us kids.
Every time I see Cherry Blossoms, I always smile with that memory.
When my daughter was born last year, we decided to plant a tree for her...so she too would have petals to play in.

  1. What a beautiful reflection, Lisa! So wonderful to plant a tree for Isobel - looking to the future, while honouring the past.
